Self Portrait from1978. I Can't explain this, my memory is only coming through in waves, you would not understand, it's exactly how I felt, I was not what I seemed in 1978. It seems I had an open mind anyway, or is that some empty headed thing, and whats up with those snakes, some kind of self torment. Apparently I was in control back then, but just.
James Joseph Roderick grew up in Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts in the 50's and 60's and attended the Art Institute of Boston in the early 70's. Since moving to Colorado in the mid-nineties, his art has fully turned into an honoring of the Goddess, the Divine Feminine in us all. He has painted over 60 images of The Virgin of Guadalupe.
