This is an 11"x14" painting on a birchwood panel, suggesting what it would look like if Guadalupe met Gauguin. 'Guadalupe visits Gauguin', 1849-1903, French Post Impressionist artist intent on capturing the soul of nature. "Don't copy nature too literally, think more about the act of creation than the outcome." ~Gauguin~

James RODERICK

James Joseph Roderick grew up in Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts in the 50's and 60's and attended the Art Institute of Boston in the early 70's. Since moving to Colorado in the mid-nineties, his art has fully turned into an honoring of the Goddess, the Divine Feminine in us all. He has painted over 60 images of The Virgin of Guadalupe. His mission, through his art work, is to bring awareness to the feminine side of the Divine. He can be contacted at roderickartworks@gmail.com.
