A 12"x16" painting called ' Traveling Mermaids.' painted the first week back from summering on Cape Cod. Two mermaids seemingly followed us out here to Avondale, Arizona. We had a nice visit with them, they said they were on their way to the west coast, to the Santa Barbra Ocean to meet up with these two special land walkers they heard about, Paloma and Penelope. They stayed with us for a few days, had a lot of fun playing volleyball in our pool, we never laughed so much. Naomi and I filled their water supply and wished them well on their journey. We haven't heard from them since, I wonder where they are now, if anyone hears about them, please let us know.
James Joseph Roderick grew up in Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts in the 50's and 60's and attended the Art Institute of Boston in the early 70's. Since moving to Colorado in the mid-nineties, his art has fully turned into an honoring of the Goddess, the Divine Feminine in us all. He has painted over 60 images of The Virgin of Guadalupe. His mission, through his art work, is to bring awareness to the feminine side of the Divine. He can be contacted at roderickartworks@gmail.com.
