Welcome to the junk drawer of my imaginations. Did you know that with in the caterpillar there are actual cells that are called imaginal discs? These are real physical cells through which the caterpillar becomes its own butterfly through imagination. Can you just imagine what we could do, what we could become if we set are imagination free? This IMAGINARIUM Series is my attempt to explore the true nature of the imagination. One of the first things I noticed is that there is no limit in this world, everything is just made up, in realizing this something is set free, and it feels good.
James Joseph Roderick grew up in Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts in the 50's and 60's and attended the Art Institute of Boston in the early 70's. Since moving to Colorado in the mid-nineties, his art has fully turned into an honoring of the Goddess, the Divine Feminine in us all. He has painted over 60 images of The Virgin of Guadalupe. His mission, through his art work, is to bring awareness to the feminine side of the Divine. He can be contacted at roderickartworks@gmail.com.
