Artist's Description
This is a 8"x10" painting called 'The Mermaid Drummer'. In times gone by, it was commonly known that the drummers of the tribe were always the women, but what isn't commonly known is that they learned there skills with the drums from the mermaids, who used the waves and tides to experience the rhythm of the world. About James RODERICK
James Joseph Roderick grew up in Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts in the 50's and 60's and attended the Art Institute of Boston in the early 70's. Since moving to Colorado in the mid-nineties, his art has fully turned into an honoring of the Goddess, the Divine Feminine in us all. He has painted over 60 images of The Virgin of Guadalupe.
