Artist's Description
'The Blue Roses' The heavenly blue flowers were always associated with Mother Mary. Did you know that long ago blue was the color for women and pink was the color for men, seems odd doesn't it? It's true, look it up. Here is a little story about blue flowers. Baba Yaga, the old Russian wise woman of the deep forest was said to age one year for every person that came to her for help, so you can see why she would be a little picky with whom she would see. Ah, but wait, she made a tea with these certain blue flowers that would rejuvenate her. What magical blue flowers were they, the heavenly blue morning glories come to mind, my favorite flower by the way, but I did hear that some part of the flower was an hallucinate. In any event here is the Guadalupe with ' The Blue Roses '
