The Mouse that Roared is a 12"x18" pencil drawing from 1997. The Great Lion was surprised when his little Mouse friend approached him, " My mighty Lion friend, I would like to learn the Roar, could you teach me, please?" The Lion thought about it for a second or two and thought' well, why not. The Mouse was overjoyed, the Lion proceeded, " Now the real ROAR is something that comes from within the center of your being." After many such witty words the Lion asked the Mouse, " are you ready to roar and declare to the world that here you are here." The Mouse was more than ready, as he belted out his finest ROAR, the Lion was startled, amazed actually. A Truer ROAR he had never witnessed, so full of deep intensity and pure integrity. The Lion was speechless for a minute, finally saying to the Mouse, " Thank you Oh so very much." The mouse looked puzzled, " Why are you thanking me, I'm the one that should be thanking you." The Lion explained, " You see, your ROAR so reflected your true authentic self that I now see my own roar has been resting on my image as a lion, and not my true self." "Thank you." said the Mouse. " Thank you," said the Lion. And this Mighty ROAR, like no other, was heard throughout the land, it had a unique under tone to it. From the, as yet unwritten children's book, The Mouse That Roared.
